Material Sourcing for Our Future

We have all gotten very creative with our sourcing these days. Just this morning, two packages arrived with tile and wall surfacing samples and another with leather samples. Just in time for my morning virtual meeting with clients! As a concierge member with Kravet, my samples are delivered overnight at no cost to me. It is such a wonderful perk that Kravet offers to their design clients. I also receive samples from TileBar, Cosentino, Caesarstone and WetWall overnight so that I can prepare and review with my clients.

There are several other resources which serve the design community. Material Bank, an offshoot of Material Connexion and the brainchild of the owner of Sandow Media. The service started prior to the pandemic, but has truly hit their stride in the past nine months. They have grown exponentially both in staff, square footage, manufacturers, and sustainable practices. I love sourcing through them and getting my reusable box to ship back unneeded samples for other designers to use.

Source, SpecSimple and Decorators Best are other great ways to source online and get samples. You can build projects, create material palettes and so much more to share with your team and your clients.
